Numismatic Fine Art presents its upcoming auction 2. It will take place on June 14, 2025.
This time, the offer includes an exquisite selection of 206 wonderful treasures. There are pieces from almost all eras of history.
These are coins that are truly exceptional in terms of their quality, their rarity or their great artistical style. Some of the coins even have a remarkable provenance.

Lot 3: Greek coins, Italy, Tarentum. AR-Stater. Struck circa 325-280 BC. An exceptional specimen. Sharply struck with an attractive iridescent tone. Starting price: 2,500 CHF.

Lot 8: Greek coins, Sicily, Syracuse. AR-Tetradrachm. Struck circa 485-480 BC. A highly attractive example of this stunning masterwork of late archaic art. Starting price: 8,000 CHF.
The auction starts with a small but exceptionally fine selection of Greek coins. Highlights are the magnificent stater from Tarent (lot 3) and the wonderful tetradrachm from Syracuse (lot 8). In addition, the stater from Syracuse (lot 10) in exceptional quality should certainly be mentioned.

Lot 44: The Roman Republic, Publius Satrienus. AR-Denarius. Struck 77 BC. An outstanding specimen. Perfectly struck and centred. Extremely Fine. Starting price: 250 CHF.
Following this, there is a very attractive selection of Roman coins. Regarding the Roman Republic, the denarii of Vibius Pansa (lot 40) and Publius Satrienus (lot 44) are certainly worth mentioning for their outstanding quality.

Lot 62: The Roman Empire, Nero Claudius Drusus. AR-Denarius. Struck AD 41-42 BC. Rare. A lovely example with an impressive pedigree. Beautiful old collection toning. Starting price: 1,000 CHF.
The section covering the Roman Empire contains many pieces with excellent portraits. Highlights include the denarii of Tiberius (lot 61), Nero Claudius Drusus (lot 62) and the attractive aureus of Domitian (lot 69).
The offer continues with a beautiful collection of medieval bracteates and pfennigs. The collection is from an old Swiss property and was assembled in the 1960s and 1970s.
At the end, there is a selection of modern coins and medals.
