Stack’s Bowers Galleries recently sold the only known example of an 1870 $2 Dominion of Canada banknote, payable at Victoria. The note, previously considered lost, exceeded presale estimates by far and was sold for $360,000.

Heritage Auctions ⸱ NYINC Auctions ⸱ 13-22 January 2025 ⸱ New York
The Heritage Auctions held in conjunction with the NYINC achieved a combined total of over $26.5 million. Highlights included a Caligula aureus, which sold for $600,000, and a South African rarity that became the top lot of the auctions, fetching $2.16 million.
