Vico Belmonte, Jesús

Jesús Vico Belmonte is an expert in ancient and Spanish coinage. As well as continuing the family legacy of the Jesús Vico S.A. numismatic auction house, he is President of the Spanish Association of Professional Numismatists, Vice-President of the IAPN, and co-organiser of the Evento Numismático Internacional.


Abdy, Richard

Richard Abdy is a numismatist and Curator of Roman Coins at the London British Museum, covering the middle imperial period of the second century AD through to late antiquity. His responsibilities include the processing of treasure cases found in England and Wales.

Abramzon, Mikhail

Mikhail Abramzon is a numismatist and archaeologist. At Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, he is Director of the Research Institute for Historical Anthropology and Philology. His research focuses particularly on coinages of the Bosporan Kingdom.

Amandry, Michel

Michel Amandry is a multiple-award winning numismatist. The academic interest of the Honorary Director of the Cabinet des Médailles of the Bibliothèque nationale de France focus on the coinage of Roman Imperial times.

Anthony, Peter

Peter Anthony is an expert in modern Chinese coins. He has been researching and publishing books and articles on this subject for years. He also runs a website and has a monthly newsletter that provide information on the current market of Chinese panda coins.

Arnold-Biucchi, Carmen

Born in Ticino, Carmen Arnold-Biucchi combines theory and practice: In her capacity as Curator, she is responsible for the collection of ancient coins at the distinguished Harvard Art Museums, and is also teaching numismatics in the Classics Department at Harvard.

Arslan, Ermanno A.

Ermanno A. Arslan is one of the most renowned Italian researchers and authors on archaeology and numismatics. Among the key academic interests of the former INC Vice-president and conservator at several museums are Italian numismatics of early medieval times.

Attwood, Philip

Philip Attwood is an art historian and numismatist. He was Keeper of Coins and Medals at the British Museum, London, from 2010 to 2020. His work focuses particularly on Italian sixteenth century and British nineteenth century medals as well as badges.

Auras, Anna

Anna Auras is a German master goldsmith with her own jewellery label. In 2021 she designed the German 20 euro collector’s coin commemorating Annette von Droste-Hülshoff.

Waddell, Edward

Edward J. Waddell Jr. is Professional Numismatist and owner of Edward J. Waddell, Ltd. The firm located in Frederick, Maryland specializes in ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and early medieval coins.

Walker, Alan

Alan Walker is not just well known for his brilliant catalogues but also for his witty humour. He worked at the Bank Leu, Leu Numismatics and LHS for many years and in 2008 he became director of Nomos AG in Zurich.

Wang, Helen

Helen Wang is a specialist in Asian coinage and Curator of East Asian Money at the British Museum in London. Moreover, Helen Wang translates Chinese literature.

Weisser, Bernhard

Bernhard Weisser has been working at the Berlin Münzkabinett since 1996 – initially as assistant, then curator, and today he is the director. He also works nationally and internationally and is known to be a scientist who has initiated and moved a lot with colleagues and collectors.

Wetterstrom, Kerry K.

Kerry K. Wetterstrom is a staff numismatist at Classical Numismatic Group. He edited “The Celator” for 13 years and is regarded as one of the hobby’s most knowledgeable collectors in the coins of Roman Egypt.

Wienand, Johannes

Johannes Wienand is professor of Ancient History at the Technical University Brunswick, director of the coin cabinet of the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum at Brunswick and founder and spokesperson of the network NUMiD.

Wieschowski, Sebastian

Sebastian Wieschowski is a freelance writer focusing on contemporary numismatics and bullion products. With his own book projects and video content, he covers numismatic trends and addresses coin topics of the future.

Willis, Alastair

Alastair Willis is archaeologist and Senior Curator of Numismatics and the Welsh Economy at the National Museum of Wales. In his research he focuses on the monetary history of Wales, and he assists Welsh Finds Liaison Officers with numismatic enquiries.

Wolf, Carl (b. 1947)

Carl Wolf was the first living member inducted into the Chicago Coin Club Hall of Fame. For years he conducted the very popular Numismatic Theater at the ANA Conventions and published a guide for numismatic speakers.

Wolters, Reinhard

Reinhard Wolters is an ancient historian and numismatist specialized in ancient economic history. He researches and teaches in Vienna where he is the head of the Institute for Numismatics and Monetary History at the University of Vienna.

Woytek, Bernhard

Bernhard Woytek is a Vienna-based ancient historian and numismatist. In Vienna he serves as head of the “Documenta Antiqua” Department of the Institute for the Cultural History of Antiquity at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Wright, Tim

Tim Wright is a numismatic author and a collector of ancient coins. He is focused on the coins of pre-Roman Britain, a topic he has written a book about.

Wyprächtiger, Kurt
