Evento Numismático Internacional
There is a new coin show aimed at the Spanish-speaking world: from 26 to 29 June 2024, the first Evento Numismático Internacional will take place at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid, and will include a coin show, numerous presentations and an extensive cultural programme.

Three coin enthusiasts have joined forces to create an event that is breaking new ground in the Spanish-speaking world. For about a year, Jesús Vico of the Spanish auction house of the same name, Augustin “Augi” Garcia Barneche of Sedwick Coins and Luis Domingo have been working together to create something that ticks all the boxes of a perfect event. They dreamed big: the Evento Numismático Internacional is not only supposed to be international, it will also be a meeting place for all the stakeholders of the numismatic world – collectors and dealers, scholars and curators, mints, authorities and the numismatic media. To this end, they have come up with a varied programme.
5 Days to Celebrate Numismatics
It all starts on 26 and 27 June 2024 with the official auction sale of the Jesús Vico auction house. On 28 and 29 June, a high-calibre coin show will be held from 11 / 10 am to 5:30 pm, which will be accompanied by numerous presentations. In this context, CoinsWeekly will host an international conference session. You will find out more about it in a separate article in next week’s issue.

A Trip to the Mint of Segovia
The organisers are offering a special trip to Segovia on Sunday for all those who want to use this opportunity to expand their numismatic knowledge. Not only is Segovia home to the city’s world-famous landmark, the aqueduct, but also to an excellently preserved mint. It has been completely renovated in recent years and is now one of Segovia’s major sights.

By now, numerous exhibitors have announced their participation in the event. Of course, most of them are from Spain and Portugal, but there are also global players from Argentina, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, Panama, Switzerland, Venezuela and the United States.
