CDN Publishing, the numismatic data and pricing specialist and well-known publisher of the Monthly Greysheet, has acquired Whitman Publishing, the major US numismatic publisher.
Further Thefts at Royal Coin Cabinet Brought to Trial
The systematic thefts at the Royal Coin Cabinet in Stockholm were not committed by one single person. Another employee helped himself to some objects. At present, prosecutors are trying to prove the man stole coins worth more than 3.8 million Swedish kronor, including a Russian family ruble which sold for 510,000 SEK in 2009.
The Eggenberg Family and the Power of Money
In a new exhibition of the Coin Cabinet at Eggenberg Palace (Graz, Austria) the rise, splendour and decline of the Eggenberg dynasty are presented using their coins. In addition, examples of the diversity of coinage in the Holy Roman Empire in the 17th century are presented.
