Swissmint produces exclusive and limited-edition collector coins under the name “Swiss special coins”. The Schilthorn is of great tourist and cultural importance for Switzerland, not only offering spectacular views of the Swiss Alps that attract thousands of visitors every year, but also achieving international fame thanks to its appearance in the James Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. The Schilthornbahn 20XX project envisages a new direct connection between Stechelberg and Mürren, which will be the steepest cableway in the world when completed. The new Schilthorn cable car special coin is a way of remembering the old cable car.

The reverse side features a sketch of the Schilthorn and the restaurant: a must for all collectors and lovers of Swiss coins, James Bond films and the Swiss mountains. In addition, the nominal value of CHF 20 is depicted. 3,300 coins will be issued in proof quality in a case, 200 coins in proof quality in a case with artist’s certificate and 5,000 uncirculated coins in a blister pack. To round off this magnificent cable car series, two different coin boxes will also be released. 500 of each box will be available.
