Rogé, Xavier

Xavier Rogé (*1989) is best known as the founder of Numista, one of the largest online numismatic catalogs.

Xavier started collecting coins at a young age, fascinated by their historical and cultural significance. His background as an IT professional allowed him to merge his technical expertise with his passion for numismatics, leading to the creation of Numista in 2007. What started as a personal project gradually evolved into a full-time endeavor. Over time, Numista has expanded to cover a vast range of numismatic items, including coins, banknotes, tokens, medals, paper exonumia, and numismatic literature.

Today, Numista is recognized as a key resource, offering an extensive catalog, an active forum, and collection management tools. The platform’s collaborative model enables collectors worldwide to contribute and improve the database, ensuring accuracy and continuous growth. As of March 2025, the Numista catalog includes over 400,000 entries.
