Congress in Frankfurt: International Experts Discuss Gold and Silver Trends

By Sebastian Wieschowski

The uncertainties surrounding the change of government in the US, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the potential emergence of a new multipolar world order will be at the heart of the discussions. A special insight into how these developments are impacting the precious metals markets will be provided by Roland Stöferle, author of the renowned In Gold We Trust report and Managing Partner at Incrementum AG. Stöferle will explore the role of gold as a safe haven in uncertain times and outline the key trends investors can expect in 2025.

Leading international industry associations, such as the World Gold Council and the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), will also be represented at the event. Wolfgang Wrzesniok-Roßbach, a long-standing precious metals expert and initiator of the ZukunftsForum Edelmetalle, highlights the significance of the congress: “The World Gold Council forecasts continued strong demand for physical gold in 2025, increasing ETF inflows, and sustained central bank purchases. These trends will be thoroughly analysed at the event.”

Another key highlight will be the presentation by Peter Zöllner, Independent Non-Executive Director at the LBMA. Zöllner will explore the role of central banks in shaping gold demand and examine how regulatory frameworks and new trading strategies are influencing the global gold market.

Structure of the Congress

The ZukunftsForum Edelmetalle spans two and a half days and offers, in addition to expert presentations, panel discussions and an accompanying trade fair.

The first day of the conference focuses on gold – its role in the financial world, as an investment, and in industry.

The second day is dedicated to silver and platinum group metals.

The organiser of the ZukunftsForum Edelmetalle is Fragold Connect GmbH, founded by Wolfgang Wrzesniok-Roßbach with the aim of fostering networking within the precious metals industry. In addition to the congress, Fragold Connect is planning the launch of the new specialist journal “Gold & Weiss”.

The event will take place from 23 – 25 March 2025 at the Kap Europa Congress Centre, Messe Frankfurt, Osloer Str. 5, 60327 Frankfurt am Main.
