CIT presents: Alcatraz Island

With Alcatraz, CIT presents a coin that takes the depiction of islands to a completely new level. Be it from a bird’s eye view or from the side, the coin depicts the legendary penitentiary complex in great detail and illustrates why the island became a myth.

Bulmint

In March 2023, Ursula Kampmann visited Bulmint’s production facilities. ALL steps that are necessary for the manufacture of gold and silver coins are carried out there. By looking at the various departments, we can learn about every step in the production of a coin.

Coins that are submitted for grading during the WMF in Berlin, for example, should be ready in time for the Numismata in Munich.

For the first time since 2019, NGC will be carrying out on-site coin grading at its office in Munich in February. Collectors and dealers have the opportunity to submit their treasures for grading at the World Money Fair in Berlin.

For Railroad Fans: The Suram Tunnel

Railroad history is linked to numismatics in many ways. Fascinating large-scale projects were often celebrated with medals and commemorative coins. Our example takes us to Georgia: A medal that will be offered for auction by Künker commemorates the opening of the Suram Tunnel.
The seals were primarily created by casting copper and consist of open form and closed form geometric and human/animal designs.
