Leu Numismatik Sponsors the New Friedrich Imhoof-Blumer Fellowship in Winterthur

Leu Numismatik is supporting the new Friedrich Imhoof-Blumer Fellowship at the Coin Cabinet in Winterthur, which will be awarded for the first time in 2025. The fellowship, endowed with CHF 3,000, is aimed at early-career researchers working on a numismatic project. Application deadline: June 30, 2025.

Gilles Bransbourg will be stepping down from his position as ANS Executive Director in September 2024. Dr. Ute Wartenberg Kagan, currently President of the ANS, will return to this position, which she previously held from 1999 through 2019.

A Discovery From Jülich-Berg

New coin varieties are not so uncommon, but a new denomination really is. Joachim Stollhoff has found a 6 Albus light of the Duchy of Jülich-Berg minted in 1640. The coin will be offered in the forthcoming auction of Münzen & Medaillen GmbH.
