CoinFindsViewer – Roman Coin Finds in Southern Germany
Recently a new numismatic project went online: the CoinFindsViewer represents the first large-scale visualization of Roman coin find data in southern Germany. It enables users to interactively explore the dataset along the Roman frontier, the Limes, and its hinterland across various historical periods.

Numista Now Has a New Literature Section
Numista has recently expanded its offerings with a dedicated section for numismatic literature, providing a valuable resource for researchers and enthusiasts alike. A particularly innovative feature of this section is its integration with Numista’s existing coin catalogue, which allows users to seamlessly navigate from a reference number of a coin to the corresponding literary reference, and from that catalogue back to the numismatic objects listed within.
These Are Japan’s New Banknotes
In April 2023, the Bank of Japan has presented the first specimens of the new banknotes, which will enter circulation in 2024. The 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 yen denominations will feature new motifs and new security features.
