Last November, Winston Churchill would have turned 150 years old. To mark the occasion, the Heberden Coin Room at the Ashmolean is displaying pieces from their rich collection of medals related to Churchill, most of which come from the J. Eric Engstrom Collection of Churchill Medals.
London Museum Receives Roman Artefacts and £20 Million
The London Museum receives generous support. Bloomberg Philanthropies is providing not only £20 million, but also more than 14,000 Roman artifacts that were unearthed prior to the construction of its London headquarters in the heart of the city – at the site where the Temple of Mithras once stood.

Once a year, the vast and diverse coin world comes together for a kind of oversized family reunion: the World Money Fair. Due to the new organization, many things were different, but others felt comfortably familiar. We were also present in Berlin again, this time even with our own booth.
Space Premiere – Mint of Poland Created the World’s First Flying Coin
The Mint of Poland presented the UFO MP-1766 at the World Money Fair 2024, which is said to be the first flying coin in the World. The coin is lifted by an internal motor and, upon interaction with a specially designed base, it levitates due to the magnetic field generated between them.
