Dr. Ursula Kampmann
Dr. Ursula Kampmann breathes and lives numismatics. She has been part of the numismatic community for almost 40 years. She has studied numismatics, earned her doctorate on a numismatic topic, worked in the coin trade, curated numismatic exhibitions and managed a coin cabinet, edited one numismatic journal, founded another, advised mints, won numerous awards, and authored even more books. Dr. Ursula Kampmann is at home on every continent of the numismatic world and enjoys traveling. It is important to her to speak with all members of the numismatic world. This way, she also hears opinions that you probably don’t (yet) know.
Her articles are therefore a large mosaic of small pieces of information that only reveal the overall picture when arranged correctly.

The mission of CoinsWeekly
Do we really want to aim so high? Does CoinsWeekly have a mission? Yes, it does. CoinsWeekly exists, not for the benefit of the individual collector, not for the benefit of the individual dealer, or the individual mint. CoinsWeekly is committed to the benefit of the entire numismatic community. That’s why we don’t engage in excited investigative journalism, but rather explain what’s happening in the numismatic world. For us, it’s more important to understand things than to judge them. Which, of course, doesn’t mean we don’t have opinions. We do, and we don’t hesitate to share them with you.
One thing is certain: For us, numismatics is a wonderful passion that can also be a source of income. The focus is on the joy of coins. We want this numismatic world, in all its diversity—collectors, dealers, scholars, curators, coin technicians, and many more—to endure at least as long as it has existed, namely half a millennium.
