Several Positions Available at CNG Offices Around the World
Classical Numismatic Group (CNG) continues to grow and has an immediate need to fill several positions. The following full-time positions are open for immediate hire.
Lancaster, PA
(All positions require being located in Lancaster)
- Consignment Processor – Job duties include: working with consignors to develop auction strategies for collections and to process the subsequent incoming consignments. Knowledge of ancient coins is needed but experience with world and US coinage is of a growing need. Experience is preferred but we would train the right individual as necessary. Some travel to meet with consignors and attend trade shows is possible in this role.
- Cataloger – We have a need for a cataloger of ancient coins. Experience with world and US coinage would be a benefit but not necessary for consideration. This position is mainly an office role however some travel to trade shows is possible if desired.
- Photographer – Job duties include: photography of coins, medals, and paper money; shooting videos of coins; and assisting with computer uploads and auction platform management.
- Shipping/Receiving – We are looking for an additional person in our shipping department to help manage, pick and process coin orders from just completed auctions. This position requires some communication with customers.
- Librarian – CNG is home to one of the most complete privately held libraries on coinage in the world. Our staff uses reference books and catalogs on a daily basis. We are looking for someone to manage the library both to keep books in their appropriate place and to add new publications as they become available for purchase.
London, UK
(This position requires being located in London full time.)
- British/World Coin Specialist – We are seeking a British/World coin specialist to work with potential consignors; review and bid on coins in upcoming auctions for stock and for clientele; and to manage our stock of British/World coinage available for direct purchase. This role will require some travel and much communication with customers.
The Hague, Netherlands
(These positions requires being located in the Hague full time.)
- Ancient/World Coin Consignment Processor – We are seeking someone with experience in ancient and/or world coinage who can assist in processing incoming consignments and purchases. This is primarily an office position and would include some phone work and shipping/receiving of consignments and auction purchases. Some travel is possible to attend trade shows and meet with consignors through the EU. Fluency in English writing skills is necessary.
- Administrative Assistant – We are looking for a part time person to help with office management including: scheduling of shipping and receiving; minor accounting and data entry; supply management for the office; and phone answering. Fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory.
