Switzerland is “Guest of Honor” at the World Money Fair 2025
Next year, Switzerland will be the guest country at the World Money Fair. The Federal Mint Swissmint has a very special highlight in store for the fair: it will be presenting the 100-franc Gold Vreneli anniversary coin to the world for the first time.
Space Premiere – Mint of Poland Created the World’s First Flying Coin
The Mint of Poland presented the UFO MP-1766 at the World Money Fair 2024, which is said to be the first flying coin in the World. The coin is lifted by an internal motor and, upon interaction with a specially designed base, it levitates due to the magnetic field generated between them.

Change Of Leadership at the American Numismatic Society
Gilles Bransbourg will be stepping down from his position as ANS Executive Director in September 2024. Dr. Ute Wartenberg Kagan, currently President of the ANS, will return to this position, which she previously held from 1999 through 2019.
