Acquisition of a Highly Significant Ensemble for the Coin Cabinet in Vienna
The Kunsthistorisches Museum has acquired 22 coins of the imperial couple Regalianus and Dryantilla and made them digitally accessible. This is all the more impressive considering that only about 160 coins of this imperial couple are known worldwide. These are the only Roman coins that were minted in what is now Austria.
IAPN Asks Collectors to Help Protect Roman Coin Collecting

A Commemorative Coin Celebrating the Completion of Austria’s Southern Railway
Commemorative coins were issued far less frequently in the 19th century than today. The fact that Emperor Franz Joseph dedicated a commemorative coin to the Austrian Southern Railway is therefore testimony to the outstanding importance of this line. In auction 408, Künker is offering two of only 1,644 specimens minted.










Museum of American Finance Announces New Exhibit Headquarters
The Museum of American Finance, a Smithsonian affiliate, is relocating to Boston with a new 5,400 sq ft space set to open on July 1, 2026. This marks its first permanent exhibit location since leaving 48 Wall Street in New York in 2018 after a flood damaged the facility but spared its renowned collections.
