Theft at the Stockholm Royal Coin Cabinet

An audit at the Royal Coin Cabinet in Stockholm showed that a transferred 2.6 million euros worth of objects are missing. Now a former employee has to answer for theft.

Richard Beale has pleaded guilty to a number of charges. At a court hearing in New York in August 2023, the British coin dealer admitted, among other things, to falsifying the provenance of an EID MAR aureus.
