Celebrating Wolfgang Hahn’s 80th Birthday
There are numismatists who are an integral part of the numismatic world. One of them is Wolfgang Hahn, who shaped the fate of the Department of Numismatics and Monetary History in Vienna from 1990 to 2010. On 12 March 2025, he celebrated his 80th birthday.
France is the Guest of Honor at the World Money Fair 2024
In 2024, the World Money Fair will feature a country as guest of honor again: The Monnaie de Paris represents France at the world’s largest coin fair, taking place from February 2 to 4 at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin.

The Medals and Representative Coins of Emperor Ferdinand I
Andrea Mayr has presented another part of the collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. In 2023, her two-volume work on the medals and representative coins of Ferdinand I was published. It is much more than a usual catalogue. Ursula Kampmann took a look at it.
