Leu Numismatik presents its Web Auction 28. After the resounding success of Web Auction 27 and Auction 14 in September and October, Leu is now very pleased to present to you another impressive sale with a selection of 7,250 coins and group lots from the ancient, medieval, and modern world.

Among the many highlights of this impressive auction are the James Knox Collection of Biblical related coins (Canada), the collection of T. Frisbie, Part II (USA), the collection of the renowned architect Max Vogt (Switzerland), Part III of the collection of Constantinian coins of Dr. L. Ramskold (Sweden) and Part II of the Dr. S. Coffman Collection of Axumite coins. Furthermore, the sale also includes the collections of lic. iur. Lot 180: Judaea. First Jewish War, 66-70 CE. Shekel, Jerusalem, Year 3 = 68/9. Struck very slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine. From the James Knox Collection of Biblical related coins. Starting Price: 1,500 CHF.

Lot 2671. Phoenicia. Sidon. Elagabalus, 218-222. Octassarion. An impressive astrological reverse type with excellent reverse details. The obverse smoothed and and with some strengthening of the legend, otherwise, nearly very fine. Starting Price: 250 CHF.

Part III, which includes the Roman Provincial coins beginning with Antioch, the Roman Republican & Imperatorial and the Roman Imperial coins up to and including Lucilla (lots 2491-3762), closes on Monday, 11 December 2023, starting at 12 pm CET.

Lot 4503: Constantine II, as Caesar, 316-337. Follis, Treveri, 320. Very rare. A magnificent piece with a very impressive bust type and an incredibly detailed reverse. Very minor roughness, otherwise, extremely fine. Starting Price: 100 CHF.

Part IV, which includes the second part of the Roman Imperial coins beginning with Commodus and Part III of the Ramskold Collection of Constantinian coins (lots 3763-4882), closes on Tuesday, 12 December 2023, starting at 12 pm CET.

Lot 5326: Endybis, circa 300-310. Chrysos. Fresh and attractive. Light marks, otherwise, about extremely fine. Starting Price: 250 CHF.
