Solidus presents Auction 141 with 827 attractive lots. The auction will take place on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, from 15:00 as a live auction on the Auex platform. Bids can already be placed.

There are many attractive Greek silver coins with beautiful tetradrachms on offer, e. g. from Seleukos I. Nikator with a pantherskin helmet or from the Macedonian King Perseus with an impressive portrait. Among the extensive range of Roman Provincial coins are some very interesting rarities. Special mention deserves a series from Caesarea in Cappadocia, a large number of tetradrachms of the 3rd century with items from cities in Judaea like Jerusalem and Askalon, finally several rare and appealing coins from Alexandria. The section of Roman Imperial coins contains many exceptionally well-preserved Denarii. A highlight is a very rare and extremely fine Antoninianus of the Palmyrene queen Zenobia. There is a series of nice Late Roman and Byzantine Gold and silver coins. The section with ancient coins is followed by medieval, world and Islamic coins.
