Classical Numismatic Group presents Part III of The Geoffrey Cope Collection of British Coins, in association with Numismatica Ars Classica and Numismatica Genevensis SA, to be held electronically on Thursday, 22 May 2025.
This sale features the remainder of the collection, with a number of exceptional British coins including an extensive offering of Northumbrian styca varieties for the dedicated specialist, a number of attractive hammered silver issues, rare and well pedigreed fantasy siege pieces of the Civil War, Scottish and Irish issues, Conder & other tokens, and more. A small but impressive selection of ancient coins, particularly Roman Imperial sestertii, are also available. Highlights of the sale:

Lot 188: Hanover. George I. 1714-1727. Halfcrown. Dated 1715 and RY SEVCNDO. NGC MS 62. Estimate: $2,000.
Lot 230: Scotland. James III. 1460-1488. Halfgroat. Main issue. Edinburgh mint; –/plain cross. Struck 1484-1488. Very fine. Estimate: $1,500.
