Stephen Album Rare Coins will be holding their “Accumulations & Collections Auction 2” on June 16, 2025 at their offices in Santa Rosa, California. This is the second auction being held in this new format, with the first being in January 2025. Prior to 2025 the large lots (also known as group lots, accumulation lots, or collection lots) were featured on the final day of their premier auctions in January, May and September. Those lots now appear in a stand-alone auction the following month (February, June and October respectively). The first iteration of this auction format was very successful. This second auction contains exactly 750 lots from all time periods and categories. These are the same large lots that normally would have been at the end of their May 2025 sale, so there is an extensive selection of interesting coins to be found, including lots from collections such as:
- The Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection of World Coins
- The Almer H. Orr III Collection of World Coins
- The Howard A. Daniel III Collection of Asian Coins
- An Anonymous Collection of Indian Coins
Lot 14, Roman Empire: Lot of 125 small bronzes, mostly AE3’s and AE4’s of various rulers from the 4th century. The majority in average Fine and VF conditions with decent surfaces, quite a few EF or better and with glossy patina, Estimate: 500.00-750.00 USD.
Lot 403, German States: Lot of 53 silver coins, all from the beginning of the 18th to the beginning of the 19th century. most in VF-EF conditions, some EF+. Ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection. Estimate: 400.00-500.00 USD.
Lot 124, Aq Qoyunlu: Lot of 324 coins; large study group of mostly late period Aq Qoyunlu silver coins from a variety of types, rulers, mints, denominations, and countermarked issues including some scarce coins, a very interesting lot and well worth the time to study, average quality examples. Estimate: 2,300.00-2,800.00 USD.
Lot 203, Hyderabad: Lot of 46 hammered coins, all from the 19th century, most in all silver, most in VF to EF conditions, some with attractive light toning, all attributed on accompanying holders by the consignor. Estimate: 500.00-700.00 USD.
