Classical Numismatic Group offer their Islamic Auction 4 with 621 lots to be held in two sessions. Session 1, a live sale, will be held at the Bloomsbury Hotel, London, on 19 October 2023 beginning at 2 PM BST. Session 2, an electronic sale, will close beginning at 2 PM BST on 20 October 2023. Together, this sale offers 621 lots with a pre-sale estimate of over $850,000.
This auction is highlighted by a number of rarities, including:
- Extremely rare Umayyad dirhams from the mints of Radhan and Risha
- An ‘Abbasid dinar of the caliph al-Muntasir
- A Fatimid dinar issued by Abu ‘Abdallah al-Shi‘i
- Two Fatimid dinars from Mecca
- A Fatimid dinar from Mu‘izziya – Taormina, in Sicily
- A Wajihid donative dirham
- A superb Ayyubid dinar from Mecca
- An extremely rare full dinar issued by the Qalhati Rulers of Hormuz
- An iconic portrait quarter-mohur of Jahangir
- An unpublished pattern guinea from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
