Washington University’s Olin Library announces seven numismatic exhibits that are now open to the public and will run through July 7, 2024. The library features such exhibits on a rotating basis, with recent installations covering the history of play money, World War II internment camp issues, and other subjects. In addition to exhibits, the library’s numismatic mission includes the administration of the Newman Numismatic Portal.

The Dr. Busso Peus Nachf. spring auctions 437/438 were a big success. The Hoesch Collection – Hunting and Animals exceeded its estimate by 80%, achieving a total hammer price of over 1.8 million euros with 687 lots.
From 13 to 15 May 2024, Heidelberger Münzhandlung will hold its 88th auction sale. Among the highlights are some of the rarest contemporary issues from China, including the 100-yuan Lion Dance coin of 1995. 1,000 specimens should have been minted – but in the end, only 138 were produced.
